Anton wrestles with memories of a traumatic night in January of 1945. After a known Nazi collaborator was killed in front of his house, German troops get revenge by executing Anton family. The boy is moved to his uncle's house in Amsterdam. But forty years later, Anton tries to find out the truth behind the murder and put the past behind him.
