Anything But Love (2002) follows Billie Golden, a cabaret singer with a rich imagination, who dreams of a glamorous life performing in luxurious nightclubs. However, her reality is far from her fantasies, as she performs in a low-quality lounge, lives in a rundown house in Queens, and has to deal with her widowed, alcoholic mother. Her life takes a turn when Greg Ellenbogen, a successful corporate lawyer and her former high school crush, re-enters her life, offering her a chance at a luxurious lifestyle. However, Billie's path becomes more complicated when she meets Elliot, a bohemian musician who offers her a life filled with music. Billie must navigate her choices between the material comforts Greg offers and the artistic fulfillment Elliot represents. The film explores Billie's journey to find the intersection of her dreams and reality.
