2600 metros

2600 Meters is the altitude of Bogota City, and is also the name of a newspaper that plays an important role in the movie. In times when everybody in Colombia is talking about the “Bogota Miracle”, this film shows a day in the life of a colection of characters of different ages, colors, and economic levels, that share one thing in common: loneliness in a huge capital from a troubled country. That day, each caracter faces over the edge situations that will finally change their lives, for better or worse. Drug dealing, politics, music, sports, love, family, women role in our society, art and the power of media, are some of the issues that build a very unique background for a group of Colombians, of all regions, that live “2600 meters closer to the stars” , but far away from happiness.
