Amidst the chaos, money vanishes from the cash register, prompting an investigation that puts all employees under scrutiny. Many of these workers are undocumented immigrants, fighting to protect their jobs, which often serve as their sole anchor in a world that frequently overlooks them. As they scramble to fulfill a never-ending stream of orders, one cook, Pedro, stands out. A young Mexican with aspirations beyond his current role, Pedro is both a dreamer and a rebel. He is deeply in love with Julia, an American waitress who is hesitant to commit to a relationship with someone without legal status. The Grill’s owner, Rashid, has pledged to assist Pedro with his immigration papers. However, when Pedro is falsely accused of theft and learns that Julia has had an abortion, his world spirals out of control, leading to a dramatic confrontation that brings the kitchen's operations to a grinding halt.
