Killing Grandpa (Matar al abuelito? (1993) follows the story of Don Mariano, an elderly man residing in a sprawling mansion with his adult children and hired staff. After a failed suicide attempt, he falls into a profound depression. The arrival of Rosita, a young woman with a mysterious allure and supernatural abilities, brings a change to the household. Rosita tends to the bedridden Don Mariano, and their bond deepens into a romantic relationship. Meanwhile, Don Mariano's children, driven by greed, scheme to secure their inheritance. The narrative culminates in a dramatic escape as Don Mariano and Rosita flee from the avaricious family members.
