The Path of Totality (S)

In Astronomy, The Path of Totality is the scar outlined over the earth by those spots in which the sun will be totally covered during a solar eclipse: for being able to watch it, you must be in the exact place, in the precise instant. From this drawing, this short film proposes another symbolic itinerary in the intersection of Astronomy, Biology, Mythology and Art. This path connects the discovery of beauty with its reverse, confronts reality and symbol, balances pain and pleasure. The protagonist penetrates the world through the gaze and sees the whole outline, its past and future, and the whole, the illusory design, reveals itself as empty between the ruins of art and daily violence.
