The Yakuza Papers, Vol. 2: Deadly Fight in Hiroshima (1973) follows the return of Bunta Sugawara as Shozo Hirono, a character who has become deeply entrenched in a Japanese criminal organization situated in Hiroshima. In this installment, Hirono encounters a formidable new opponent in Katsutoshi Otomo, portrayed by Sonny Chiba, a merciless assassin prepared to execute any action to advance his family's agenda. Concurrently, Shoji Yamanaka, played by Kinya Kitaoji, is an ambitious criminal who swiftly climbs the ranks of the Muraoka family, but his downfall is as abrupt as his rise.
