Beautiful Woman

Separated during war, a husband and wife both assume the other has died. The wife takes care of her mother-in-law, and the husband remarries and works as a lawyer. The wife buys a vase which was hers before the war, and, unknowingly, becomes involved with her husband's new wife. In a dispute over the vase, a man interested in the wife falls to his death, and the wife his held responsible. While in prison, she finds out about her husband's new life, but decides to keep quiet so that he and his family may be happy.
