Sorrento Beach (1995) unfolds in a quaint Victorian coastal town near Melbourne, within the Moynihan family residence. The narrative revolves around the simmering tensions and envy among three sisters: Hilary, a widow residing in Sorrento with her father and teenage son; Meg, a renowned novelist based in London; and Pippa, the youngest, living in New York. The sisters reunite at their family home following their father's accidental drowning during his routine morning swim. Meg's latest autobiographical novel, which contains unflattering revelations about the family, prompts Hilary and Pippa to confront Meg with their long-held feelings and grievances.
