Carlota (Lola Herrera) is the mother of Marta (Natalia Dicenta) and mother-in-law of Adolfo (José Luis García Pérez), a woman who does not know what an economic hardship is and her only and biggest problems have always come from the hand of Adolfo, whom she hates. In the first episode, "Worst Impossible", Adolfo, who is a prestigious lawyer without scruples, sees how in just 24 hours his professional and family life falls apart, in a succession of misfortunes and revenge that nothing he can do to avoid; he is fired from his job, discovered in his infidelities, accused of a crime, and assaulted by one of his former victims in court. When he arrives home he discovers that the catastrophe his life has become has only just begun. His wife Marta throws him out of the house and announces to their three children, Lucía, Toño and Jorge that she is getting a divorce. She also leaves Adolfo without money, blocking all his accounts. Banished from the family home, his only recourse is an old apartment in a corrala where he lived with his parents...
