The Sound of Trees (2015) follows the story of Jérémie, a 17-year-old living in a small rural Canadian town who yearns for a life beyond the family sawmill. Unlike his family's expectations, Jérémie is more captivated by customizing his car, immersing himself in hip hop music, and spending time with his friends. The dynamic between Jérémie and his father becomes increasingly strained when Jérémie's older brother decides to get married and leave the family business.
