Violeta is a ballet dancer in a small town theatre. Her mother is a singer and her father plays the violin. She spends her childhood behind the stage. Her mother leaves her father to make a career and she stays with him. Thanks to him her love for ballet turns into a passion and devotion to art. Time goes by and she keeps waiting for her big night on stage. Men in her life show no understanding. She lives alone. Her daily life is marked by hardship, doubt, despair. When finally the opportunity for her comes to play Odette in The Swan Lake, she knows she won't be able to handle it. Yet, she finds strength within herself to go for it. Art, after all, is what her life is all about.
