Hyménée (S)

The night of their wedding, a man and a woman find themselves in a bedroom to consume their marriage. Each other’s desire, fear, tactlessness, violence prevent them from uniting their bodies before sunrise. To keep up with appearances, the man finally harms himself in order to stain the sheet they have to expose to the family in the morning to confirm the bride’s virginity.
