Zinnia Flower (2015) follows the intertwined stories of Yu Wei and Shin Min, who both tragically lose their partners in a devastating multi-vehicle collision. Yu Wei attempts to numb his profound grief with alcohol, finding no solace in fleeting moments of pleasure. Meanwhile, Shin Min finds comfort in cooking the recipes her fiancé had left behind, while the dream of their honeymoon in Okinawa remains an endless source of tears. One day, as they ride a bus along a winding mountain road, the setting sun occasionally illuminates their faces. They exchange a silent glance, as if seeing a reflection of their shared pain in each other. Despite their profound connection, they remain the most familiar of strangers, bound by their mutual loss.
