Martin’s Day (1985) follows the intense story of Martin Steckert, who, after escaping from prison, takes a 12-year-old boy named Martin as a hostage. The young Martin, a compliant and lonely child, surprisingly decides to stay with the escaped convict rather than flee. Together, they journey to the tranquil setting of the older Martin's childhood home, a serene cabin by a lake. However, the police are in hot pursuit, eager to apprehend the fugitive and seemingly ready to use lethal force.
