On the Wrong Track (1983) centers around two rebellious brothers, Paul (Andy Lau) and De (Yim Chau Wa), and their stern police officer father, Larry (Yueh Hua). The brothers, along with their troublemaking friends, are frequently involved in fights, disco dancing, and acts of vandalism. Despite their father's disciplinary actions, Paul and De repeatedly find themselves in trouble. In an attempt to set them straight, Larry sends the boys to Taiwan to live with their mother. However, the brothers retaliate by orchestrating an extreme act of vandalism at a supermarket, leading to tragic consequences. De is fatally shot by a ruthless cop named King Kong (Lau Kwok Shing), and Paul is arrested. Upon his release, Paul seeks to reconnect with a refugee (Lau Mei Gwan), but King Kong's persistent harassment drives Paul to seek revenge.
