Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), 1992. URANIA CABRAL returns to her hometown. She can barely recognize the old toothless man lying in his bed, mute and motionless, almost inert. It is her father, AGUSTIN CABRAL, alias “Egghead”, President of the Senate and right hand man of Trujillo the dictator during many, many years until he fell into disgrace. However, all that happened a long time ago. Urania remembers all this 30 years later. She talks about it with her aunt and cousins who don´t understand why she didn´t come to see them or her own father for so many years. Finally, she will confess the terrible secret that kept her away from home and family forever, a secret that destroyed her life. The Feast of the Goat is also the story of the men who sacrificed their lives to end one of the bloodiest tyrannies of recent Latin American history. Their epic story and that of Urania are intertwined in an intense kaleidoscope of love, hate, death and violence.
