Sakar Sakir (1977) follows the journey of a clumsy young man named Sakir from an Anatolian village who embarks on a trip to Istanbul after the passing of his affluent uncle. Sakir's goal is to claim his inheritance, but his journey is fraught with challenges. He crosses paths with Gardrop Fuat, a recently released prisoner known for his irritable demeanor, who is also involved with Sakir's relative, Haci. Haci, unwilling to share the inheritance, teams up with Gardrop to eliminate Sakir and seize all the wealth. In Istanbul, Sakir finds himself in a high-stakes chase, constantly pursued by Haci and Gardrop. Despite his awkwardness, Sakir manages to outmaneuver his foes, but his clumsiness leads to a series of mishaps, including accidentally setting half of Istanbul ablaze with a single match. Ultimately, Sakir returns to his village, leaving behind the chaos he inadvertently caused.
