Essential Killing

An Afghanistan soldier (Vincent Gallo) is captured by US forces and sent to a Guantanamo-like detention center in an unspecified eastern European country. But he manages to escape and run into a vast, unfamiliar snow-blanketed terrain, where he must, as the title implies, do whatever it takes to survive.
