Life Partners (2014) follows the intertwined lives of Paige, a straight woman portrayed by Gillian Jacobs, and Sasha, a lesbian character played by Leighton Meester. These two individuals in their late 20s share an unusually close bond, functioning more like a married couple than typical friends. Their relationship is marked by deep intimacy, including sharing personal moments like talking on the toilet and driving each other to medical appointments.
