Leptirica (TV) (1973) is an adaptation of a highly regarded Serbian nineteenth-century literary work, the short story 'After Ninety Years' by Milovan Glisic. The narrative revolves around a young man named Strahinja, who is deeply in love with a local beauty named Radojka. However, their romantic journey faces a significant hurdle in the form of Radojka's father, Zivan, who views Strahinja as an unworthy suitor. To demonstrate his capability and worthiness, Strahinja accepts a challenging position at the village mill. Unfortunately, the mill is notorious for a grim reputation—no one who spends the night there is known to survive until dawn.
