Profanía (2023) is set in Argentina during the tumultuous year of 2001, when the nation was under a state of siege. The narrative follows Bruno, who commands a rural military patrol consisting of five soldiers as they venture into the countryside. Their journey takes a grim turn when they stumble upon an abandoned farmhouse, where they discover multiple corpses and two survivors. Unbeknownst to them, their intrusion awakens a malevolent entity residing in the nearby forest. This sinister force reanimates the deceased within the house, subjecting the soldiers to a night of relentless torment. To escape their fate, the soldiers must endure until dawn, or risk becoming part of an ancient, bloody ritual.
