Short film shot in 16mm filmed by the Japanese Isao Yamada in 1987. Filmmaker, graphic artist and manga author, Yamada has been recognized for his artistic films since 1977 and has made more than one hundred works to this day. Acclaimed for his poetic interpretation of things, capturing the beauty of everyday life and the ephemeral of the instantaneous, his films often seem to float between reality and dreams. Crystal, also known by the German title (Bergkristall), is a clear example of the subtlety, calm and melancholy that characterizes Yamada's films. And without a doubt, one of his greatest works.
