Once his restless years are over, Bertrand shows himself as a great warlord. In Brittany, he fights against the English, who take him prisoner at the Battle of Auray. The women of France decide to work to pay his ransom. After being released, Du Guesclin goes to Spain, where he defeats the troops of the King of Navarre.
