Navid is an Iranian Kurd who lives in Teheran. During the protests taking place after the 2009 elections, he meets a woman named Setareh. The young people start a relationship and continue their political activism in the university, until Navid is expelled. As if being expelled weren’t enough, Setareh’s father tells Navid to stay away from Setareh, saying that Navid’s precarious economic situation will destroy her future. Feeling desperate, Navid asks for a grace period in which to find a job and a home to offer to his partner. However, his search in frenetic Teheran will only make him more aware of the different social strata that co-exist within the city. As time passes, his frustration turns into aggressiveness.
