June Martin witnessed her sister's drowning when they were both teenagers and hasn't been back home or seen her mother since the tragic incident. A decade later her mother is dying. June decides to go back, with the support of her loving girlfriend to try and convince her mother that it wasn't June's fault. June is certain there's a dark force lurking in the lake and becomes obsessed with finding the truth, even if it means losing everything she's worked so hard for the last ten years.
