In a small provincial town is discovered that a bone of the hand of Don Nuño Pérez de Gormar, a local hero, is held by a French nobleman. His remains, which rest on a monument of the city, are not complete. The citizen honor is at stake and all its inhabitants, authorities and the living forces abandon their usual chores to recover what they consider a symbol of its past and tradition.
