We Are the Flesh (2016) unfolds in a desolate, post-apocalyptic Mexico, where siblings Lucio and Fauna traverse a devastated city in search of sustenance and refuge. Their journey leads them to one of the city's final standing structures, where they encounter a man who presents them with a perilous proposition to endure the harsh world outside. As they assist him in converting the building into a cave-like sanctuary, a disturbing sexual dynamic develops, revealing darker, destructive impulses.
