Boston Strangler: The Untold Story (2008) is a gripping true-crime drama centered around Albert De Salvo, a charismatic small-time criminal with an insatiable sex drive, who eventually makes a false confession to being the notorious Boston Strangler during the early 1960s. Under the influence of his cunning cellmate, who possesses more knowledge about the murders than he lets on, they hatch a scheme to capitalize on the infamy and the reward money associated with the crimes. Concurrently, Detective John Marsden is on a relentless quest for the truth, convinced that the murders were not the work of a single individual. As he navigates the bureaucratic hurdles of the era, Marsden's emotional involvement threatens to cloud his judgment while he pursues the elusive trail of the killer.
