Far from land (S)

Lola is a young girl going through adolescence, an age of big changes both physical and psychological. However, in Lola´s case, those changes will take an unexpected direction. While her friends care about partying, putting on make-up and cigarette-smoking, Lola prefers to spend hours on end taking baths; to listen to the waves roaring inside a sea-shell, or just sitting quietly for long spells, looking up at the sky. Her mother feels slightly concerned but, since the mother-daughter relationship is somewhat cold and superficial, Lola seems unable to confide her mysterious reality to her. Lola finds herself isolated and misunderstood, which makes her feel disappointed and edgy. She´ll soon have to take a decision that will change her life-path.
