The Road Within (2014) centers around Vincent, a young individual grappling with Tourette Syndrome. Following the passing of his mother, Vincent's distant father, Robert, is compelled to take responsibility. However, Robert, who is in the midst of a political campaign, is reluctant to have Vincent by his side. Consequently, Robert places Vincent in a clinic managed by the unconventional Dr. Mia Rose. During his stay, Vincent develops feelings for Marie, a woman struggling with anorexia. The two decide to take Dr. Rose's car and embark on an unexpected journey. They are forced to bring along Vincent's roommate, Alex, who has OCD and threatens to expose their plan. Pursued by both Robert and Dr. Rose, Vincent, Marie, and Alex undertake a transformative road trip to scatter Vincent's mother's ashes into the ocean.
