Filmed in six countries: Portugal, Mozambique, India, Brazil, France and Japan, this is a documentary about the Portuguese language, and people who speak it around the world. Reinvented hundreds of times and fed by colonization and immigration, Portuguese is one of the richest languages on the planet. An examination of the history of Portuguese and it's place in various cultures around the world, showing the daily lives of normal working people oin four continents. It includes comments by famous speakers of the language (including Jose Saramago, Mia Couto & the band Madredeus). In each of these place, the Portuguese language is enriched by the local culture, its landscape, food, weather, gods, melodies and rhythms.
