Apocalipsur
In 1991, Medellin (Colombia) is a dangerous place to live. The rules have changed and even the police have a price on their heads. The Flaco has fled to London, because of death threats received by his mother, and even though fear can be felt on the streets and nowhere is truly safe, his friends and his girlfriend, Malala, throw a going-away party for him, with a live Rock ‘n’ Roll band included. After a few months, the Flaco returns and things in the city, apparently, haven’t changed: the war continues and bombs still explode. Caliche and Malala, who are now a couple, are the most intent on picking him up. Along with their friends Pipe, a handicapped drug addict, and the Comadreja, a loser without scruples, they go to pick up the Flaco at the airport, in Snowball, the van in which they have travelled many miles and which has become refuge for them all. It’s time to run from the city and to put the pedal to the metal… or simply delve into a fascinating voyage through their lives. The road will try to scare away the dreadful pleasure of being from Medellin, so that together, they can experience, alongside the Flaco, the Apocalipsur (Apocalypsouth, as in South America).
