In Death Lady, provocative Chen Ping does a women's lib version of Pam Grier's black exploitation films by breaking out of her shell and taking the law into her own hand. Traditionally, Chinese women are supposed to accept tragedy with quietness, but Chen dismissed that myth saying that it was okay to rise up and speak for themselves as she takes on corrupt cops and sleazy drug dealers who made her sister has sickness.
