The project offers an examination of how social, cultural, and material factors influence human-nature relationships. Viewers are taken on a journey to the ecotourist site, Meno A Kwena, located in central Botswana. Unique to the location is a 480 km electric fence that has been built to mitigate human-wildlife conflict. The local village of Moreomaoto, located on the other side of the fence, is home to over 700 people, most of who own cattle. This division of separating cattle land from national park land has created a climate in which the local community often does not seem to value its proximity to wilderness. By following the lives of three distinct individuals, viewers are made aware of the problematic and beneficial features of promoting ecotourism.
