When he was just a child, Derek Washington witnessed the murder of his father. However, as an adult, in an undercover operation to find the forger Gustoff Slovak, Derek is forced to face his fear: blood. The operation goes south and Derek's team is decimated after a massacre. Surprised, he concludes that Slovak is actually a vampire.
