Mr. Vampire II (1986) follows a group of contemporary grave robbers posing as archaeologists who uncover remarkably well-preserved ancient remains of a man, a woman, and their offspring. Unaware of the true nature of their discovery, the scientist and his two inept helpers transport the specimens. The trio are vampires, held in stasis by paper spells affixed to their foreheads. During transit, the spell on the child vampire is dislodged, allowing it to escape and form bonds with local children. Subsequently, the adult vampires also awaken and break free. Meanwhile, a local herbalist, aware of the supernatural threat, pursues them with the intent to eradicate the vampires.
