Jarvis Dolan is the charismatic star of the hugely popular London-based radio show The Grim Reality. Entertaining and utterly ruthless with his comments, Jarvis delights his audience throughout the wee hours of the morning with his witty programmes homing in on searingly topical subjects. But one night, when he had been planning to blow the lid off a huge football scandal, his show takes a macabre turn when two hooded intruders burst into the studio and take control at gunpoint: they are there to bring to light a dark truth – whatever the cost. Dolan is forced to carry on with the show, following the assailants’ script and without ever revealing the danger they are in. Soon the night will turn into a nightmare for all concerned.
