Sami lives happily working on an austere construction project forged among friends and neighbors in his neighborhood. To satisfy the needs of his wife Alice, who is expecting a child, he takes a job as a night watchman in a luxury goods store. The richest man in France, who has become cold and cruel since the death of his wife, decides to give his son Alexandre for his birthday the gift of his choice from the whole store to win back his affection .... And the boy chooses Sami! This is how a man with no future becomes, by surprise, the toy of a capricious child... Remake of Francis Veber's 1976 cult classic "The Toy" (Le jouet).
