Gone for a Dance (2007) is set in the year 2030, where Antoine, a young university professor, delivers a lecture on the unconscious transmission of family secrets. To illustrate how behaviors echo through generations, he shares the tale of Maurice, Guy, and François—three men from different generations who never knew their fathers and left their families to pursue their deep love for musicals. Each man unwittingly repeats the same pattern until François chooses to shatter the silence and halt the cycle.
