Malamaal Weekly (2006) follows the story of Lilaram, a lottery ticket vendor who finds himself in a whirlwind of greed and deceit when one of his customers wins the jackpot but tragically passes away from the shock. With the sudden death of the winner, Lilaram sees an opportunity to claim the prize money for himself. However, his plans are complicated by the fact that everyone around him, from family members to acquaintances, also has their eyes on the fortune. The film delves into the chaotic and humorous consequences that ensue as Lilaram and others vie for the coveted prize.
