Shadows (Umbre) (TV Series) (2014) is a gripping television series that spans three seasons, airing from 2014 to the present. The story revolves around Relu Oncescu, portrayed by Serban Pavlu, a tough yet loving family man who also works as a taxi driver in Bucharest. However, Relu's life is far more complex than it appears, as he secretly serves as a debt collector for the local mafia, working under the notorious Capitanu. Relu's dual existence is carefully balanced, with his family and criminal activities remaining separate. He has a wife and two children, all of whom are unaware of his dangerous second life. Relu's meticulous balancing act begins to unravel when a tragic incident forces him to confront the consequences of his actions. After accidentally taking a life, Relu attempts to escape the criminal underworld but finds himself trapped in a web of deceit. As the days pass, the secrets he has kept start to surface, leading to a cascade of revelations that threaten to destroy his carefully constructed life. The series is inspired by the Australian crime miniseries 'Small Time Gangster'.
