My Brother Is Getting Married (Mon frère se marie)

Vinh, a boat-person refugee, adopted twenty years ago by a well-off Swiss family, is about to get married. His natural mother, who remained behind in Vietnam, grabs the opportunity to travel and meet this perfect family who loved and raised her son. But, it’s been ages since the family split apart and they can no longer stand each other. Madame Nguven’s impromptu visit causes major problems for everyone. For a few days they’ll be obliged to play the forgotten roles of father, wife, brother, and sister. They’ll have to become an ideal, loving, and compassionate family once again to act out a fragile comedy of happiness.
