Doctor Who: The Twin Dilemma. (TV) (1984) follows the Doctor and Peri as they encounter a dire situation on the planet Jaconda, where a colossal race of gastropods has seized control. The leader of these creatures, Mestor, has a sinister plan to detonate a massive explosion, scattering his species' eggs across the galaxy. To achieve this, he abducts brilliant young twins from Earth to solve the complex mathematical problems required. A team of space fighters, led by Lieutenant Hugo Lang, is sent to rescue the twins but faces a devastating attack. Lang survives the crash on the asteroid Titan 3, where he crosses paths with the Doctor and Peri. Together, they assist Professor Edgeworth, the elderly former ruler of Jaconda, who is actually a Time Lord named Azmael. Their combined efforts aim to thwart Mestor's plans and liberate the planet's native, bird-like inhabitants from the gastropods' oppressive rule.
