Itinéraires (2005) follows the journey of Thierry Chartier, an 18-year-old who, after a legal disagreement instigated by his father, resides with his grandmother in a small northern French village. Thierry finds solace in working the fields and contemplating the future of a farm. To enhance his daily life, Thierry and his companion Rouillé, a local pariah, engage in the theft of meat from a nearby slaughterhouse, supplying various restaurants. One fateful night, without Rouillé, Thierry makes a dramatic decision to liberate all the confined piglets.
