TV series (1969-1974). 4 Seasons. 45 Episodes. "Monty Python's Flying Circus" (also known as "Flying Circus", "MPFC" or just "Monty Python" during the fourth season) was a popular, surreal BBC sketch comedy show from Monty Python, and the group's initial claim to fame. The show was noted for its impossible or highly improbable events, risqué humour, sight gags, and sketches without punchlines, and also featured the animations of Terry Gilliam which were often sequenced or merged with live action.
