The northwestern part of Spain, between the León regions of El Bierzo and La Cabrera and the Galician mountain range of El Eje, hosted in 1942 the creation of the first anti-Franco guerrilla of the Spanish post-war period: the Federación de Guerrillas de León-Galicia (Federation of Leon-Galicia Guerrillas). A good way to follow its development is to pay attention to the only man who participated in all its phases and changes: Manuel Girón.
