Lida, a simple and traditional young, falls in love fwith an attractive and popular athlete, Sergei. The two spend a night together, but Sergei has no interest in maintaining a loving relationship with Lida, and He ignores her. Sergei suffers an accident that leaves him paralyzed. Lida devotion, kindness and deep love for Sergei keeps at his side. Very popular film during the USSR times and in Russia in the nineties, where Western forms of female behavior are contrasted in opposition to Soviet traditionalism.
