Deputy police commissioner Francesco Prencipe leaves his house to catch up with his best friend, judge Giovanni Mastropaolo, whom he hasn’t seen for almost two years. During a two-hour journey in the car, only a few words are exchanged. One question and one answer. That same morning the judge is found dead with a gunshot wound to the head.
