The Year of the Plague (2018) follows Victor as he grapples with the aftermath of his breakup with Irene and his new relationship with Lola, which exacerbates his Peter Pan syndrome. His life takes a dramatic turn when strange, inexplicable events begin to unfold around him. People start exhibiting altered behaviors, as if possessed by an unknown force. Drawing from the horror films and TV shows that defined his 1980s childhood, Victor struggles to find a logical explanation for these phenomena. The situation becomes even more complicated when his friends step in to assist him. Victor must confront his deepest fears and step into the role of a hero he never thought he could be to save Irene before she falls victim to this mysterious syndrome.
